The Story of West Coast Wine Education
West Coast Wine Education was created from a desire to help the general public become more educated consumers in the world of wine. After years of being approached by individuals wanting to expand their knowledge, experiment with new wines, increase their confidence, and feel relaxed ordering wines in restaurants, West Coast Wine Education was launched in 2004.
Over the past few years our company has adjusted to the changing needs of the consumer as well as the evolving economic situation. We still offer a number of unique and enjoyable workshops and class series, however are now also working with a number of non-profit societies on their fundraisers of making local wine tasting events available to the public. The semi-annual Best of BC Wines Uncorked ( www.bcuncorked.ca ) is a great example of this as it continues to grow and draws between 200 and 300 people to each event in support of the Port Moody Arts Centre Society.
The on-going wine clubs have expanded and are now available year round and continue to be popular and relevant to emerging global wine trends as well as our local BC market.
We have had thousands of satisfied students and attendees during our years of operation and would like to thank each and every one for their continued support of West Coast Wine Education.
Our commitment is to continue to offer new and interesting programs as a result of the increasing need for consumers to expand their knowledge in the ever changing world of wine.
