The new Drinking & Driving Legislation and how it affects you:
The team at West Coast Wine Education has a mandate of ensuring that your safety comes first.  During our two hour workshops and classes, we sample a maximum total of four to five ounces of wine. We pace the samples over the evening and provide water, bread and crackers.  We encourage you to spit as there are spittoons available at each workshop or class.  After all it’s not about the quantity… wine appreciation focuses on the quality and your enjoyment of the wine.

Registration Fee Outline:
One night themed workshops vary by location and range from $45 to $65 per person. The 4 week wine appreciation series also varies and ranges from $150 to $180 per person.

Who can attend?
All of the one night workshops, four week classes, themed events or wine tastings are appropriate for beginner to intermediate tasters.

An Evening of Port - New Westminster
Offered through New Westminster Continuing Education
One Evening - Thursday, January 26th
7pm to 9pm

This workshop is the perfect remedy for a winter evening!  Discover and explore different Ports and gain an understanding of what makes these fortified wines one of the most underrated wine values in the world.

We will discuss food friendly Ruby and Tawny styles and pair these wines with some interesting cheese samples.  You will leave this class with a better understanding and appreciation of Port and all the interesting tastes they have to offer.

Ports featured include: Taylor Fladgate LBV 2005, Fonseca Tawny Port (10 Years Aged), Vista D'oro Cyprianna, D'oro, and Vista D'oro Pinot Noix.

Course fee is $56 per person (includes HST, port samples, cheese samples, and learning materials).
